Week 3: Famous Last Words

This week has been pretty good on a personal and school standpoint. I saw The Revenant which was a sad and gory movie but it was really good. I usually do not mind gory movies but in this movie I found myself covering my eyes. This Sunday I will be watching the super bowl. My boyfriend is a huge broncos fan and I like Peyton Manning. Go Broncos! Also with my personal life I have decided to go to San Francisco with my best friend over spring break so I am pretty excited.

This week's reading was not my favorite. I felt that the end of Ramayana was too abrupt and unsatisfying. I thought that Part C and the beginning of Part D were good and the battle, getting Sita back, and Rama reclaiming his thrown were all good things. The end of Part D was the main problem I had. Rama does not keep his thrown, Lakshmana dies, and Sita is exiled once again. It was just not the happy ending I was hoping for.

As for school, I am starting to have a lot of assignments due in all of my classes but so far I like all of my professors which make attending class more enjoyable. Over all, I am keeping up with everything just find and trying to get ahead in this class whenever I find time. I want to make sure to do most of the extra credit in this class to make sure I am not short of the points I need to make an A. I also went to a meet the firm event with an accounting fraternity, named Beta Alpha Psi, which I found very helpful. It had nine big public firms that I would consider working for in my future career.

  1. Sara,

I too have seen the Revenant. I thought it was an excellent movie and did not mind the gore much. However, I can see how the movie could be a little too much for some, especially the horse part.

I am excited to watch the game this weekend! I really hope the Broncos win for Peyton Manning. It should be a great game.

Furthermore, I also did not like the ending of the Ramayana. I am glad that I was able to read your story and enjoy the ending that I wanted. It was a great read.

    Good luck on your semester!
